The Villa Wrea Green Wedding Photography – Naomi & Mark
Wrea Green is a place very close to our hearts. We’ve spent a lot of time there, from our early days of nervous dating at The Grapes, to some incredible spa retreats round the corner at Ribby Hall. It’s a wonderful quiet village, idyllic with it’s village green, pond and resident ducks. Over the years it’s truly become somewhere really special to us. So when Naomi and Mark asked us to photograph their wedding at The Villa in Wrea Green, we were absolutely delighted to come back as wedding photographers to a place so full of our personal history.
The Villa Wrea Green Wedding Photography | The Villa resides at the end of a long, field-flanked driveway. It’s an eclectic mix of old and new, transitioning from a cozy traditional bar area, everything you’d want from an upmarket country pub with stone-flagged floors and welcoming staff. The food is superb and the menu varied, and it was a wonderful place for us to regroup during Naomi and Mark’s wedding breakfast. The new parts of the building are tasteful, spacious, and the mezzanine floor in the main bar area offered us a great vantage point to capture some of the goings on from a slightly more unusual angle!
Naomi and Mark’s wedding was perfectly timed to coincide with the height of Autumn colour – and to celebrate this we took them out into the surrounding grounds just after their wedding ceremony and trying to beat the incoming rain. We love Autumn and how the colours transform a simple woodland clearing into a bright, red-carpeted setting that just screams Romance.
