The Copse Wedding Photography and Video, Reading – Carolyne & Andreas

Feb 1, 2019

Carolyne and Andreas came up to meet us in Blackpool for their pre wedding shoot this summer, and from the moment we started shooting with these guys, we know their wedding was going to be awesome.

Fast forward some months, and we found ourselves in our airbnb after a long drive to Reading, a well-earned glass of red in-hamd, planning out the day ahead. Carolyne & Andreas asked us to photograph and film their wedding, and in these instances, one of us is dedicated to photography and the other to film for the whole day.

You can check out their feature film below!

We found The Copse via the back entrance, and after a short drive across the fields, we came across the most beautiful country house. It’s architecturally unique, both grand and rustic rolled into one. Impressive oak beams, open spaces, little nooks, and Aga-based country kitchen. We were totally in love!

We met Carolyne getting ready on the top floor of this beautiful building. After some drinks, bacon sandwiches and a few laughs, it was time for their ceremony. Carolyne & Andreas chose to have a humanist wedding ceremony – and we have to say, it’s one of our favourite styles.

All the personality, humour, and little anecdotes really made it a unique experience to these two. As they literally tied the knot with a traditional hand fasting, there were drinks, confetti, and time to explore this beautiful setting.

The rain couldn’t stop us as we took Carolyne & Andreas away for some portraits of just the two of them. We started inside in one of the sitting rooms, and then grabbed the umbrellas and headed out for a walk. Speeches and a wonderful wedding breakfast followed. After an epic amount of cheese and some top-notch port, we were recharged, and got ready for the evening party.

A beer taxi provided craft ales, and as the light fell, fire pits and a scandinavian grill hut provided warmth and shelter – with marshmallows of course!

It was such a pleasure to be involved with your wedding day, and we can’t imagine a more fitting setting than The Copse. Enjoy your blog!
