Sarah & Paul’s Fabulous Festival Tipi Wedding in Lancashire

Nov 27, 2018

Trying to put into words the scale of the planning, the beauty of the execution, and the fun of Sarah & Paul’s wedding day is proving to be rather a task in itself. We can only applaud Sarah & Paul for putting this day together. It was one of fun, personality, laughter, colour, and everything a wedding day should be. We feel honoured to have been part of it, and have been looking forward to sharing some of our favourite photos from the day with you for some time!

We say their wedding day, but rather to be accurate we should say wedding days. A few days before their festival tipi wedding got started, we met Sarah & Paul at Festival House in Blackpool for the legal part of their wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful sunny day, with clear views down the beach. We met an intimate group of close family gathered to share the legal ceremony. Paul’s face when he saw his stunning bride walk down the aisle was absolutely priceless. These two are truly made for each other, and we loved being involved in this first day. After the ceremony, we headed down the beach for a few portraits, before retreating to tapas, drinks and getting to know the family ahead of the big day.

So, the wedding day arrived. We met Sarah in the morning, with flowers being delivered, hair and makeup being done, and presents being opened. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone was excited. When we left for our final destination, we had no idea what okay ahead of us. It was simply incredible. Tipis, a fish and chip van, an ice cream trailer, a mini tipi for the bar - the list goes on. The main tipi was decorated in bright festive colours, with fire pits for the evening in case it got a little chilly.

The outdoor ceremony and hand fasting were emotional, and when Sarah arrived in dress number two, she looked as happy as we’ve ever seen anyone.

After some portraits, we sat down with guests for the wedding breakfast, beautifully catered, and then captured the speeches and goings on of the evening.

As the sun dropped, the atmosphere shifted into full-on party mode. Confetti canons during Sarah & Paul’s first dance really got the dance floor full, and we danced and laughed until the end of the evening.

Thank you SO much Sarah & Paul, it was an unbelievable pleasure to be involved with your wedding day. Enjoy your blog!
