Manchester Town Hall Wedding Photography – Judith & Matt
Manchester Town Hall Wedding Photography – Judith & Matt; Manchester Town Hall. Just wow. I could talk about this place forever. I could spend weeks exploring it’s intricacies and quirks of architectural design, it’s grand staircases, columnated walkways, bronzes, statues, vast spaces, tiny ornate closets, the stained glass, even the window handles. I will be forever in love with this place, both as a wedding photographer and a ‘civilian’. This was our first taste, and we had a blast.
When Judith and Matt met up to discuss their wedding photography, it was clear they were in love with this place too. Matt’s passionate description of the history of the building, architecture and inumerous hidden ornate spaces sent our hearts a-flutter when we started thinking of the possibilities. As wedding photographers we are always inspired when we enter a space with so much history, but without a doubt from our first step through the door we were in awe. I have to admit this first overwhelming experience left us with butterflies, and we spent hours photographing in this wonderful space feeling like Ron and Hermione around the corridors of Hogwarts (let’s face it, I’m not cool enough to be Harry!)
This amazing pair decided to hold their ceremony in the ante-room which leads to the chambers where wedding ceremonies traditionally take place. They wanted an intimate and romantic experience where they could be close to all of their guests, I would have to agree that this room was the perfect area of Manchester Town Hall to hold it in. We loved the experience, and emotions ran high throughout – ourselves included!
Just after they were married, we took Judith and Matt around some of the beautiful building and out into the square adjacent. Matt loves the vaulted ceiling above the staircase, so we spent some time exploring in the eerie quiet halls. Our couple were fizzing with excitement and contemplating the vows they had so emotionally and passionately just made to each other. This time is so amazing to spend together, and capturing the electric feeling between a couple in these precious moments is one of our proudest moments as wedding photographers.
Having lived in Japan for a time, they wanted to bring an element of this to the reception. The cherry blossom was the perfect tribute to this, and we enjoyed a hog roast and partying with these guys, their family and friends in a fun-filled celebration of Judith and Matt’s big day.
Enjoy your blog, and we know you’ll have an amazing life together xxx
