There’s not many better ways to show the love you have for your new husband on your wedding day, than learning a truly, staggeringly long passage in Portuguese.

And then reciting it under pressure during your ceremony without a single fumble. Yes, Lizzie & Junio’s wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and delicious Brazilian cocktails.

Junio’s family travelled all the way from Brazil to celebrate with this awesome bunch of people. We met Lizzie and the bridesmaids getting ready in the morning, with cheesy baked deliciousness and prosecco flowing. We witnessed some truly beautiful moments, like Lizzie’s dad painting her nails with his surgeon-steady hands, Lizzie’s bridesmaid and fellow Harry Potter super-fan Emma doing an awesome job of her makeup while still finding time to help everyone else out. It was a fantastic atmosphere, and Junio’s mum and sister even brought out baby photos of Junio!

The ceremony was shared with a huge group of family and friends, and afterwards, cake and coffee was served before we headed to Lizzie’s dad’s house for the reception.

Lizzie & Junio travelled together to the reception in their friend’s stunning red Austin-Healey. Lizzie had always wanted to get married in a marquee in her dad’s back garden, and today they finally made it happen in incredible style. Not just any marquee, it had a transparent roof so the surrounding trees (which we’re told Lizzie used to love climbing) were visible during the whole event.

To compliment the Brazilian feel of the reception, delicious Caipirinha cocktails were being made for the guests on arrival, and the tables were named after Brazilian birds. Vintage edison bulbs hanging from the centre provided a romantic feel as the light fell. We took the opportunity to go to one of Lizzie’s neighbour’s gardens for some portraits before heading back in to the party.

In the evening, the Thunderbirds entertained us while the rain fell outside. We managed to sneak out for some sparklers before saying goodnight to this amazing party.

It was such a pleasure to be involved with your wedding day, we cannot thank you enough for asking us to film and photograph it. Enjoy your blog!
