Rachel & Ben’s wedding was our first trip down to Iscoyd Park in the fabulous Shropshire countryside, and we absolutely LOVED IT.

We like to arrive at a wedding early so we can soak up the vibe of the day. We also like to have a wander round the grounds, check out where everything’s happening, and really get into what makes the place so special.

Iscoyd Park Wedding Videography | We spent the first hour of the morning exploring, from the front of the main house which looks out over the gorgeous Shropshire countryside, to the fabulous original state rooms. There’s a wonderful library, and the window light is just gorgeous in this part of the house. It feels like a lived-in family estate – because it is.

Rachel & Ben wanted a really romantic feel to the day, and they certainly pulled that off in spectacular style. We could see why they chose Iscoyd Park for their wedding from the moment we drove up to it. It’s gorgeous! Iscoyd Park is a beautiful old Shropshire stone manor house in swathes of countryside. It has everything, from the gorgeous state rooms we spent the morning in, a stone-walled orangery suite to the rear where they held their intimate ceremony, and a marquee at the back, perfect for party time in the evening!

We spent all day filming the action, catching the odd break to take Rachel & Ben out for a little walk in the gorgeous autumn light as the sun began to fall. We always like to take our couples out for a little alone time, as you always need a break together from being in the action of the wedding party all day.

We asked Rachel & Ben for a few top tips on wedding planning, since they did such a standout job of it! Here’s what they said:

‘Attend as many wedding fayres as possible – not only for free drinks and samples but it is also great to get a feel for venues, suppliers and ideas. I would highly recommend our florist – L & C floral Great florist and venue styling at half the price quoted elsewhere and such amazing ladies with great vision who understood exactly what we want. I can’t wait to see what they do, it’s going to be beautiful! Ava Rose Hamilton (Silsden) Bridal boutique – The most beautiful dress shop i have ever stepped foot in. They made me feel like a princess and made my whole dress shopping experience one that i will never forget. The bridal consultants are so lovely and understood everything i wanted and more abd helped me find my dream dress.’

‘We explored pretty much every wedding venue within a 50 mile radius, we had an idea of what we wanted: a manor house style venue with picturesque grounds, an afternoon tea wedding breakfast and we had our hearts set of Six15 events for our wedding “after party” – we wanted our wedding to be an informal affair with a big party atmosphere. We found Iscoyd Park and it fit the bill perfectly for us, the house, grounds and the layout were all perfect for what we wanted. Once we had found Iscoyd Park the rest of the wedding planning fit into place. Our afternoon tea wedding breakfast will have a vintage feel with mismatch crockery and loosely themed around Alice in wonderland. We both love going to dance festivals and love a good party so the evening will have Ibiza vibes complete with live sax and percussion.’

We absolutely LOVED filming our first wedding at Iscoyd Park in Shropshire. If you’re getting married and are looking for a wedding videographer, then get in touch here. We’d love to chat about your wedding plans and what we can do for you.
