Holmes Mill Wedding Videography – Helen & James

Jun 19, 2019

We first came to Holmes Mill in Clitheroe a couple of years ago when it was just becoming popular as a wedding venue.

Holmes Mill Wedding Videography | We LOVE the giant open space of the main reception room. The rustic textures of the walls. The glass back wall where you can see the hustle and bustle of the brewery below. And the stunningly unique pump room, which features victorian beam engine. It’s a true piece of Lancashire history.

Helen & James asked us to film their wedding day here at Holmes Mill, and we couldn’t wait to come back to this incredible place. I started filming around the venue in the morning, and it was the first hot day of the year. Every table outside was full of people enjoying the sunshine outside this amazing venue.

I met James, and we headed up to the ceremony room where final preparations were taking place ahead of the ceremony. Helen & James wanted a relaxed feel to the day, with the minimum of formality, and the maximum party atmosphere. Once their beautiful ceremony finished to great applause, it was time to start the party in the engine room.

Filming here is a joy – there’s interesting things everywhere, and we love finding the little stories which make up the whole of the wedding day in amongst the beautiful setting. We followed the action all the way until party time, and then as the light fell, took Helen and James outside where the building was lit up with string lights. Check out the wonderful party atmosphere they created in their trailer video here:
