Brockholes Wedding Photography – Laura & Tim
We’ve had plenty of days out walking at the beautiful ribble valley location of Brockholes nature reserve. It’s just a short drive up the motorway to be in such a secluded beatiful spot, it’s become something of a regular thing. Before Laura and Tim’s big day, we hadn’t had the chance to photograph a wedding here.
Brockholes Wedding Photography | We love it when a wedding is laid back, fun, and relaxed. And just all about having the best day ever with family and friends. Laura and Tim’s took this to a whole new level, as they combined their fun and friendly personalities, with their love of the outdoors and nature. It was SUCH a pleasure to photograph with these guys.
For those who have never visited Brockholes before, it’s a nature reserve in the ribble valley in Lancashire.
It’s a man-made island in the middle of a lake. Like a mini floating village surrounded by nature. We’ve heard that it’s fully floating. Looking out of the floor-to-ceiling windows, we certainly get the sense of being at one with nature. There’s the lake, and the ducks who frequently swim past your feet while indoors. The buildings are timber-clad. They feature unusual architecture which makes the most of the natural light whilst maximising the integration into the natural surroundings.
Brockholes is a truly unique and wonderful place surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. We can’t thank Laura and Tim for asking us along to produce their Brockholes wedding photography.
Brockholes offers miles of walking. We took Laura and Tim off for a few quiet moments alone just after their ceremony, and to explore this fabulous place in the good weather to make some pictures of the two of them alone. We wandered a couple of the trails and had great fun around the lake, before returning to the party and preparing for the amazing hog roast wedding breakfast. We love it when there’s an informal, sharing atmosphere. Laura and Tim made us feel so welcome as part of the wedding party. We had an amazing time!
As the light faded, the band set up, and we prepared for the party. We danced, we laughed, and we couldn’t resist one last portrait of the two of them as the most unusual and beautiful light appeared over the venue.
